After 15 years of working in a CPA firm, Elizabeth Rainone left the world of numbers to care for her parents. Soon she found her true calling was on the creative side of life: she loved decorating and had a flair for it. Friends encouraged her to be an interior designer, instead she channeled her creativity into retail. In May of 2007 along with Richard Angelone, she made her dream of opening a unique and beautiful gift shop come true, along with partner Richard Angelone. In fact, just a short time after opening, Elizabeth's shop was dubbed “An Oasis of Elegance,” by a local publication.
“I enjoy offering beautiful, distinctive items in a warm environment. I love to talk with my guests, walk through the shop with them and develop a story for their home, choosing just the right items,” she explains.
In addition to her expertise, exceptional customer service is her trademark, offering extended hours by appointment, a gift registry, and of course gift wrap.
This pairing of exquisite product lines and top-notch service has led to the shop winning RI Monthly Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best Gift Shop in 2008 and 2009.
“The best part of running my shop is the friendships I form with customers and vendors,” she says.
Always on watch for new products with a focus on the future, Elizabeth is looking forward to bringing even more beautiful, elegant indulgences to her clientele.
